Let’s clear the air
The questions almost everyone asks, answered straight.
Isn’t a lab-grown diamond fake?
No. It’s a real diamond, identical in chemistry, structure, and looks. A “fake” is a simulant like cubic zirconia or moissanite, which only imitates a diamond. This is the real thing.
Can anyone tell the difference?
Not by eye, and not even a jeweller’s. Telling them apart requires specialised laboratory equipment, and both are graded by the same labs.
Will it hold its value?
Like diamonds generally, it’s best chosen for its beauty and meaning rather than resale. Because it’s fairly priced, more of your money goes into the stone you’ll actually wear and pass down.
Is it really better for the planet?
It requires no mining, so it avoids the land disruption and human cost that extraction can carry. For many couples, that’s reason enough.
Will people think it’s “less”?
It’s the same diamond, and increasingly the conscious choice. What a ring means has never been about where the carbon formed; it’s about what it represents, and that’s entirely yours.
