Our promise

Manufacturing warranty

Every Margot Vane piece begins with a promise that what you wear is made to last.

What we warrant

Free from defects — and brilliant for life

We warrant that every Margot Vane piece is free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery. Each is handcrafted by master artisans and inspected through multiple quality-control stages before it leaves our studio.

And we certify that the lab-grown diamonds we sell will retain their original colour and clarity for life: under normal use, your diamond will never cloud, fade, or change colour — remaining permanently bright, colourless, and transparent for as long as you own it.

Clear and honest

What’s covered, and what isn’t

We’d rather be upfront. Here’s exactly where this warranty applies.

What’s covered

This warranty protects you against manufacturing defects — rare issues that can occur during the making of your piece, such as:

  • Loose stones in a newly made ring.
  • Bent or crooked settings discovered at delivery.
  • Incorrect metal type.

If a covered issue is identified, we’ll repair or replace the item at no cost to you.

What’s not covered

Like all fine jewellery, your piece will naturally show signs of wear over time. The following are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered:

  • Normal wear and tear — scratches, dents, abrasions, or deformation.
  • Discolouration of metal from chemicals, lotions, pools, or hot tubs.
  • Thinning or bending of prongs due to regular wear or impact.
  • Damage or loss caused by accidents, mishandling, or improper cleaning.
  • Work performed by any third-party jeweller not authorised by Margot Vane.
  • Any issue arising or becoming apparent after extended use.

This warranty covers craftsmanship and diamond optical stability. We recommend personal jewellery insurance to protect against loss, theft, or physical damage to your centre stone.

Good to understand

A good rule of thumb

If your ring is damaged more than four months after delivery, it’s usually a sign of normal wear rather than a manufacturing defect. Rings go through more than most people realise — lifting weights, clapping, even carrying groceries can put pressure on the inner band and slowly change its shape.

When a ring goes slightly out of round, it can loosen the prongs that hold your stones. It’s one of the most common reasons stones shift or fall out over time — and it’s completely normal.

To help keep your ring its best, take it off before workouts, cleaning, or any heavy hand activity. Think of it like a favourite watch — something you wear proudly, but protect when needed. See our care guide →

For fairness

How we evaluate manufacturing defects

To ensure consistency and fairness, all warranty evaluations are performed at the sole discretion of Margot Vane. A manufacturing defect is defined as an issue that occurred during the creation of the piece and can be confirmed using standard professional jeweller inspection methods — following industry norms, precision measurement tools, and recognised gemological inspection practices.

Natural surface features or minute tool marks that are only visible under magnification or specialised equipment are considered within the normal tolerances of fine handcrafted jewellery, and are not classified as manufacturing defects.

This ensures every piece is evaluated according to consistent, widely accepted professional standards.
