Ring size guide
Finding the right size is the difference between a ring worn forever and one that lives in a drawer. Here are three easy ways to get it right — and a converter for any region.
Three ways
How to find your size
Each takes under five minutes. If you’re buying a surprise, the first method is your friend.
-
1
Measure a ring they own
Pick a ring that fits the right finger. Measure the inside diameter in millimetres (edge to edge), then match it to the chart below.
Best for a surprise — just borrow a ring they already wear.
-
2
Wrap your finger
Wrap a strip of paper or string snugly around the base of the finger. Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat, and measure the length — that’s your circumference.
Match the millimetres to the chart.
-
3
Use a printable sizer
Print at 100% scale on letter paper, check the calibration bar measures exactly 2 in (50 mm), then cut, wrap, and read your size.

Tips for an accurate measure
Measure warm, late in the day
Fingers are smallest when cold and largest by evening — measure when warm and relaxed for a true fit.
Mind the knuckle
The ring must slide over your knuckle. If it’s much larger than the base, size to pass the knuckle without being loose.
Wider bands fit snugger
For a band 6 mm or wider, consider going up a quarter to half size.
Between sizes? Size up
A touch loose beats too tight — and we offer complimentary resizing within the first year.

Frequently asked
I’m between two sizes — which do I choose?
Choose the larger size. A slightly loose ring is far more comfortable than one that’s too tight — and easier to adjust.
How do I size for a surprise?
Borrow a ring they already wear (from the correct hand) and measure its inside diameter against the chart, or ask a close friend. A close guess is plenty — we resize within the first year.
Do wide bands fit differently?
Yes. A wider band sits more snugly, so for bands around 6 mm or wider, size up by a quarter to half size.
Can you resize my ring later?
Yes — complimentary resizing within the first year, so your ring sits exactly right.
My knuckle is bigger than the base of my finger.
Size so the ring slides over the knuckle comfortably without being loose at the base. A comfort-fit band helps here — just ask us.
Does time of day really matter?
It does. Fingers swell in heat and shrink in cold, and they’re largest in the evening. Measure warm and late in the day for the most reliable size.
